And so I added lace panels (taken from a curtain!) to the sleeves and sides to enlarge the shirt. What do y'all think?
<![CDATA[Granny dress to minidress!]]>Tue, 25 Aug 2015 19:47:45 GMThttp://refashionpassion.weebly.com/refashions/granny-dress-to-minidressPicture
Started with a plus size sundress designed for maximum coverage!
Like a sculptor, I began trimming away to reveal a new shape....

Pulled out the bulky underlining, the padding in the bust, chopped the lowest tier off the bottom, took in the sides, cut off the sleeves, reshaped the neckline, added darts to the bust.

Now I got a well tailored teeny tiny dress!

Get a gawk at those gams!

<![CDATA[Yo-Yo's!]]>Fri, 07 Aug 2015 21:16:36 GMThttp://refashionpassion.weebly.com/refashions/yo-yosBEFORE - started with this hideous 1990's vest of quilted yo-yo's
AFTER - Turned it into this cute dress with a cute lower back cutout!
<![CDATA[Pillowcase Bag]]>Mon, 01 Dec 2014 06:54:38 GMThttp://refashionpassion.weebly.com/refashions/pillowcase-bagFound this pillowcase for sale at the thrift shop for $1 and thought it would look better on my arm as a tote bag! Used some thrifted ribbon for the straps, and I was done!
<![CDATA[Rawr!]]>Thu, 16 Oct 2014 07:46:10 GMThttp://refashionpassion.weebly.com/refashions/rawrPicture
A Regal Maxi skirt made from a thrifted leopard print bed sheet.

This full volume maxi skirt has a high waist, a long sash, a zip up the back and side pockets! It is fitted at the waist, and super comfy to wear. This bold look is breezy in summer but warm enough for fall.

What do you all think?

<![CDATA[T-shirt upgrade]]>Fri, 12 Sep 2014 04:24:42 GMThttp://refashionpassion.weebly.com/refashions/t-shirt-upgradePicture
Started with a large men's t-shirt in a dark navy colour, similar to the one pictured here...

I chopped off the arms and collar, so I was left with the now shortened square torso piece. I gather a small section at the top, and secured it with a small piece of inserted elastic.

Here's the final piece - see the gathered neckline? The exposed elastic is hidden on the inside of the shirt.

I love the uneven, unhemmed bottom - definitely going to leave it rough looking!

The shirt can be worn with or without a belt, and is very adaptable to different sizes.

Also, it can be worn as is in summer, or layered for winter!

I love the piece - it will definitely get some wear, where it wouldn't have as a men's oversized tee.

Hope you like!

I found a tablecloth at a thrift shop, and, inspired by this post on Refashion Co-op, I decided to turn it into this skirt!

<![CDATA[Free Buskerfest Hankie]]>Thu, 28 Aug 2014 18:19:20 GMThttp://refashionpassion.weebly.com/refashions/free-buskerfest-hankiePicture
Was given this free handkerchief at Buskerfest - a street festival featuring music, circus performances, and other buskers.

I didn't need a hankie, but I thought it would be perfect to refashion into something I do need...

...A soft case for my sunglasses!

<![CDATA[Pink Corset]]>Thu, 28 Aug 2014 18:11:27 GMThttp://refashionpassion.weebly.com/refashions/pink-corsetPicture
Picked up this pink corset at a garage sale - thought the lace was pretty ugly, but there was a rather nice piece underneath that could be added to my theatre costume collection!

Now it's perfect for the renaissance fair, a Shakespeare play, or the Rocky Horror Picture Show ;)
Gotta love the versatility of corsets!
