I liked the colour and the neckline of this dress, but it was long and kind of blah in shape. I had some leftover netting from an earlier project, that I decided should go to use making this dress a little spicier!

I got the see-through netting ready, and traced a chalk outline on the dress where I wanted to cut.
I sewed the netting over the newly created hole in the back of the dress.
It was a bit annoying to make sure the dress retained it's shape! Maybe next time I will sew, and then cut - that should work as long as the fabric on top is transparent.
I left the red edges of the hole unhemmed because this type of polyester fabric won't easily fray. I used end sealer liquid to make sure it wouldn't!

Here's a picture of the in-progress back - I made it kind of heart shaped!
After I finished the back, shortened the skirt to above the knee.
