A full length Astrology print dress gets a little flirtier ;)
I love the sun and stars print, and the fabric is super stretchy and comfortable. But the dress was long enough to trip over and had a blah shape to it. I thought it was time to spice up this slinky little number!
Using a cute turquoise dress as my inspiration, I cut straight across the top to create a new neckline. Then I cut down the centre on both sides to create the sexy slits in front and back.
Next I cut across the bottom to bring the piece above the knee. Then I hemmed everything, and threaded a string through the new Grecian inspired neckline. Et voila!
Make your own pirate eyepatch!
What you need...
--Needle and thread
--Black bra pad (removed from liner of a cotton dress I bought) Black fabric could be used instead, but the boob shape is perfect for a convex eyepatch!
--black ribbon, or an elastic hair band
What you do...
Cut.... Sew.... and you are done! Throw a scarf round your head and find a piratey shirt and you are ready to plunder the high seas! Aargh, mateys!

1980's jacket to modern bolero
What I did
--Took out shoulder pads
--Took in sleeves
--Cut off bottom of jacket
--Moved button over for a tighter fit
Now I can wear it over sleeveless dresses to keep warm without 'ruining the line' ;)

Hideous electric blue pants become a cute halter top!
Here are the before and after pics... See more pics below for how I did it!
(Best thing about this top...It's got pockets!)

1. Cut the legs off. The waist band will become an empire waist on your shirt 2. The legs become the two chest panels 3. 'Pinch and cinch' the fabric on the chest panels to create a ruched effect. Sew all the pieces together, hem the edges, and you have your shirt! 4. Optional-- extend the waist of the shirt by adding a panel in the back (make sure to sew the elastic in place on both sides before you cut it) 5. Optional -- raise the low back by adding an extra piece of fabric across the back
